Freddy dear…! This song could be more suitable to listen to in a vast
desert with scattered date trees and grazing camels with their singing
bells around their necks…and the setting sun followed by the rising full
moon and me sitting inside my grass made tent and watching the setting sun
from one window of the tent while the rising moon from another…and diving
into the deep sea of bygone times…and at morning, the arrival of caravans
from Alexandria, Damascus, Jerusalem, Baghdad, Qum and Constantine etc and
there in the caravan is a gipsy damsel in a well decorated cultured dress,
    the goddess of my dreams……

I was looking for arabic music to close my eyes and listen to the
passionate symbiose of a beautiful singer and a flute, so I could picture
myself in the sahara, looking at the infinity of a dark sky dotted with
uncountable stars, shining like diamonds, and feeling the silky sand
caressing my feet as I wander, following no path at all. But with all this
overly westernized melody, an autotune that would make Cher jealous, and
those horrible fake drums and midi voices that sounds more a christian
ceremony, the only place I can picture is a Turkish restaurant at 4 in the
morning with aggressively bright neons covering a mauve sealing, and eating
a kebab without any spicy sauce. Dull.
