What’s The Schengen Visa?

This is a visa, which when approved will allow you entry into 22 EU nations and 3 non-EU countries. However, you have to apply for the visa before traveling unless you are a citizen of one of the exempted countries.

On the other hand, if you are traveling to join a conference and have no intention of returning to that country, then the single entry visa should be sufficient.

If you  apply for the visa in your host country and you will need provide documents from your school as part of the requirements. You will also need to show proof you can afford the trip and you are not yet a graduate of the school.

Travel Options

Car rentals are not the best choice because it can be too expensive on a student’s budget. Besides, the train or bus are reliable and can get you almost anywhere you want to as long as it is on the beaten path of majority of the tourists. You can buy bus line passes just like you can buy train passes and this will allow you to travel infinite number of times during a specific time period.

Obviously, train is faster than the bus but riding on the bus is far more educational and entertaining. It is where you can meet a lot of locals and see places not accessible by train. At the end of the day, it’s a choice between how much time and money you have to spend.
